Parthian alabaster statuettes are mostly standing female figures shown in the nude; some are dressed or half draped, lying on one side; some are seated male or female figures, or musicians. The female figures may be Aphrodite/Anahita, or participants in a funerary banquet or a religious ceremony. Many of these statuettes are multicolored and have two holes at the level of their elbows, for the insertion of mobile forearms.
